What began as a journey in theoretical physics and semiconductor engineering evolved—through decades of deep technical experience and hands-on problem solving—into a groundbreaking solution for one of the most overlooked challenges in workforce management: dynamic rate calculation.

Founder Ken Maloney spent over a decade in the semiconductor industry, leading complex, high-stakes manufacturing processes where precision was non-negotiabxle and failure was not an option. That same level of rigor and attention to detail would later shape how he approached business systems and pay processing for industries with complex compensation models.

While building software solutions for small manufacturing businesses, Ken noticed a recurring gap: traditional systems like time and attendance, ERP, and payroll platforms were not built to handle the nuanced logic of dynamic pay and bill rates. What filled that void were clunky workarounds—band-aid fixes that introduced risk, inconsistency, and cost.

That insight was the spark for something bigger: a platform-agnostic rate engine designed to seamlessly sit between the systems companies already use—no custom code, no workarounds. Just clean, configurable logic that delivers accuracy, transparency, and control across industries.

Founder and CEO

Ken Maloney

Ken is founder of Workforce Performance LLC. He has over 30 years of experience designing and building software solutions for complex pay and bill scenarios. Over this time he evolved his product based on direct client feedback and diverse use-cases, beginning with the textile manufacturing industry in New England and expanding to support clients across 12 different industries today.

Previously, Ken worked at Polaroid where he managed a 100 employee division in the microelectronics research business. He earned his BS in Physics at Bates College and his MS in Material Science at RPI.

Nathan Triplett

Nathan brings over 10 years of experience in the HR and ERP software industry to Workforce Performance. Most recently, he was lead sales engineer and solution consultant at DataFuZion (acquired by Dayforce) where he helped enable over $200 million in new, recurring revenue over the course of 3 years. Prior to that, Nathan started the Human Capital Management practice at SWK Technologies where he grew the Sage HRMS practice into the second largest in the United States and secured one of the first four ADP reseller program partnerships.

Scott Murphree

With over 20 years of experience in the HCM and ERP software world, Scott is a true industry veteran. Most recently, he helped launch DataFuzion (later acquired by Dayforce), where he drove business development and built strong relationships with prospects, customers, and partners. Prior to his work at Dayforce/DataFuzion, Scott was a Senior Major Market Sales Executive at Paycor, where his sales achievements were consistently at Platinum Club level. Prior to Paycor, Scott spent 12 years at ADP in various sales organizations, frequently earning Presidents Club.
